Energising Blyth
Market Pavilion transforms a historically underused site into a welcoming, multifunctional destination grounded in local identity. The design draws on the legacy of the former Central Cinema and dance hall, combining heritage references with a contemporary architectural language that reflects Blyth’s evolving cultural offer.
Community engagement was central to the design process, with extensive consultation informing the building’s purpose, layout and character. This collaborative approach ensured the venue responds directly to local needs, creating a space that feels familiar, inclusive and distinctly Blyth: celebrating the town’s changing identity while embracing its heritage and spirit of innovation.
