Blyth Market Pavilion has been named a finalist in the Insider North East Property Awards 2026, celebrating the projects and people shaping the region’s built environment.
Market Pavilion is a new cultural venue offering cinema, performance, learning, creative play and civic gathering under one roof, created to support the ‘Energising Blyth’ regeneration programme. Commissioned by Northumberland County Council and funded through the UK Government’s Future High Street Fund, it forms part of a £90m investment to revitalise the town and we’re thrilled to see it shortlisted in the Commercial Development of the Year category.
The project brief called for a place that would encourage participation in culture and attract new audiences and visitors to the town. The existing Market Place site was underutilised, and Market Pavilion was designed to deliver renewed vitality. The result is a welcoming hub for arts and community activity, designed to bring people together and strengthen local identity while embracing Blyth’s heritage and spirit of innovation.
