Blyth Market Pavilion is an RICS Awards Finalist

Following its recent shortlisting for an Insider North East Property Award, Blyth Market Pavilion has also been named a finalist in the 2026 RICS Awards.

Nominated within the ‘Community Benefit’ category, this award recognises outstanding achievement in providing a facility which directly benefits the local community.

Designed and delivered to meet community needs, Market Pavilion was shaped through public consultation and responded directly to what local people said they needed most in their town: safe, modern, indoor space providing cultural activity and a town centre that feels welcoming and vibrant.

Since opening in August 2025, Market Pavilion has welcomed over 150,000 visitors and over 35,000 people have enjoyed a film at Jam Jar Cinema, the venue’s operators. More than 230 cultural events have also been delivered through a Cultural and Placemaking Programme, ranging from free-to-attend festivals, live performances, hands-on activities and creative experiences for all ages, to awareness days, family sessions and wellbeing programmes.
