Inspiring cycling excellence

The 250-metre cycling track envelops a 200-metre, olympic-standard athletics track—an innovative design solution that supports the venue’s versatility. Seating capacity for 6,500 spectators means the venue is regularly used for international competitive sports events.

Sections of the track can be removed to allow access to the infield. Combined with uniquely arranged asymmetrical seating, this allows the venue to also host music and entertainment events.

As well as the main hall that houses the two tracks, there is a second, multi-functional sports hall, an outdoor skating rink, outdoor football pitches and support accommodation.

Close collaboration with the operator resulted in a highly flexible design that supports the commercial sustainability of the arena.

The building separates athlete and visitor areas, which are both linked to the main entrance hall. We carefully designed levels that create space for a café and restaurant under the spectator seating. These solutions ensure the arena is easy to manage and operate on a day-to-day basis, as well as during events.

Within a year of completion, Omnisportscentrum was selected to host a Davis Cup tennis event and the UCI Track Cycling World Championships—a testament to the quality and flexibility of the venue.
