The Goodsyard wins for Mixed-Use Development at The Planning Awards

We were thrilled to see The Goodsyard shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Planning Awards: ‘Best Use of Heritage in Placemaking’ and ‘Award For Mixed-Use Development’.

These awards showcase projects across the planning and placemaking sectors and recognise excellence in planning and associated placemaking disciplines.

The Goodsyard went on to win in the mixed-use category, celebrating the combined team’s hard work towards ‘one of London’s most exciting redevelopment sites’.

Working with development partners Hammerson and Ballymore, the masterplan proposes a vibrant, mixed-use urban quarter in the heart of Shoreditch, catering for a rich variety of uses and emphasising the preservation and integration of important historical structures. The project will feature a series of connected gardens, terraces and walkways, promoting biodiversity and offering green spaces for relaxation and recreation–including one of central London’s largest new parks.

With the project ongoing, Hammerson and Ballymore are driving The Goodsyard to ‘lead the way in terms of place-making and holistic regeneration’, with the vision to truly revive the 4.5-hectare derelict site.
