Sport Ireland National Velodrome and Badminton Centre marks construction start

Following the recent National Cricket Centre phase one planning approval, we are excited to see our masterplan vision for Sport Ireland develop further, with the start of construction marked on the National Velodrome and Badminton Centre.

This new landmark venue at the National Sports Campus will house the first indoor velodrome track in Ireland, along with badminton courts within the infield, creating a permanent home for Cycling Ireland and Badminton Ireland.

With seating for up to 1,000 spectators, the centre will be suitable to host international competitions, as well as other events promoting sport, health and wellbeing to the wider community. The building and surrounding landscape have been designed to create an iconic entrance gateway to the campus at the northern corner of the site.
