Building a permanent, world-class home for Cricket Ireland

We have worked in collaboration with Sport Ireland and Cricket Ireland to develop plans for a new National Cricket Centre, located within the National Sports Campus in Blanchardstown, Dublin. The project will be split over two phases, and we are delighted that Sport Ireland has received final planning permission for Phase 1.

This phase introduces a new state-of-the-art field of play with seating for 4,240 spectators, a high-performance centre, and player and match official building. New indoor training facilities will provide key improvements and expansion to Cricket Ireland’s existing High Performance Centre.

Uniting heritage, performance and landscape across a refined material palette, the National Cricket Centre has been designed to facilitate spectacular match play and efficient day-to-day training year-round, supporting the prominent growth of the sport at international, national, and community levels.

By meeting International Cricket Council (ICC) standards, the venue will be capable of hosting major international events and competitions, falling timely, as Ireland prepares to co-host the 2030 Men’s Cricket T20 World Cup alongside the UK.

“The design has been informed by best practice, international benchmarking, and close collaboration with high-performance coaches and players to ensure the facility aligns with world-class standards. Just as importantly, we’ve focused on creating a space that serves the broader cricket community–supporting the development of players at all levels, from grassroots to elite. This project represents more than infrastructure; it’s a long-term investment in sporting excellence, community access, and the continued growth of cricket across Ireland.”
