AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards Finalists

Kings Hall Leisure Centre has been shortlisted in the AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards 2025, within the Future Reuse category.

These awards celebrate architectural excellence in the renewal and repurposing of existing buildings, with an emphasis on the reuse of materials and structure.

The plan for Kings Hall encompasses a full refurbishment, retrofit, extension and public realm design. As Hackney’s largest ever investment in community leisure, the Kings Hall project stands as a model of responsible heritage conservation that embraces modern needs.
