Toronto and Parry housing submitted for planning approval
We have submitted plans for 54 new homes on the corner of Toronto Street and Parry Street in Victoria, BC.
The project is located in James Bay, a uniquely pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood in Victoria, and has been designed to encourage a '15-minute city' lifestyle with amenities and services within a 15 minute walk.
The 54 new homes include both 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with patios and balconies. The development also includes a communal garden for residents, parking, cycle storage and improvements to the public streetscape.
In a mid-rise form, the building uses a colourful façade varying in texture to reflect the eclectic mix of materials and colour in James Bay. The envelope is also designed to exceed the BC Building Code energy efficiency requirements by 50%.
The new homes have been designed for Aryze Developments, who work to bring more high-quality housing choice to Victoria, with projects across a range of types and tenures.
