Shepperton Studios expansion opens
We are delighted to congratulate Pinewood Group on the opening of the Shepperton Studios expansion in Surrey.
We have been working together over the past 7 years on projects at both Pinewood and Shepperton film studios, including the masterplanning and detailed design of 17 new sound stages at Shepperton.
It’s incredibly exciting for our team to now see the studios and new workshops, offices and production accommodation in use. The development makes Shepperton Studios the second biggest film studio in the world, with a total of 31 purpose-built sound stages on a site which covers 1.5 million sq ft.
Our collaboration with Pinewood has also included designing proposals for an expansion at Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire, which were approved in 2023. These proposals included 21 new purpose-built sound stages, a backlot filming space and a 63-acre publicly accessible nature reserve.
