Pinewood Studios expansion and nature reserve approved
The expansion of Pinewood Studios and a new nature reserve have been granted planning approval by Buckinghamshire Council.
We collaborated with Pinewood Studios to produce the designs proposals, which include 21 new purpose-built sound stages, a backlot filming space and a 63-acre publicly accessible nature reserve. Once complete, this would make Pinewood Studios the largest studio complex in the world, with a total of 51 purpose-built stages.
The nature reserve at Alderbourne Farm, north of the current studios, will protect existing habitats and create walking routes with enhanced biodiversity.
