Best of the best at the Revo Golds
Market Hall Fulham grabbed the spotlight at the Revo Gold Awards 2018, picking up the Re:lax category prize, before being named recipient of the overall, ‘best of the best’, Re:turn award.
Held annually, the Revo Gold Awards recognise and celebrate the very best examples of development in the retail property and placemaking sector.
The Re:lax award, is an accolade which showcases exemplars of how the hospitality and leisure industries are reshaping the overall customer experience.
The judges were impressed with the way in which the scheme integrates a high street food hub into the Edwardian Grade II listed former ticket hall of Fulham Broadway station, showcasing ten independent traders, from local favourites to street food stars - all alongside a bar in the former ticket office and a large communal dining area.
The building, designed by Harry Wharton Ford in the 1880s, has been sympathetically restored and brought back into use having been vacant for six years prior to the redevelopment. The result is a high quality, vibrant and sustainable destination for local residents, workers and visitors to Fulham.
Having triumphed in its category, Market Hall Fulham was then pitched against the winners across the remaining categories in a vote to decide who would be crowned the ‘best of the best’. The room, containing over 1,000 of the most influential figures in the property and placemaking sector, voted in its favour, rounding off a fantastic evening for all involved.
