Lee Valley Ice Centre is a 2026 Civic Trust Awards Regional Finalist

Following a first stage assessment process, we are delighted to announce that Lee Valley Ice Centre has been selected as a 2026 Civic Trust Awards Regional Finalist.

These independently operated awards celebrate outstanding architecture, planning and design in the built environment, recognising projects that have made a positive contribution to the local communities they serve.

Lee Valley Ice Centre was designed for efficiency, inclusivity and accessibility: a first-class training facility for elite skaters and sports teams, but also an enhanced community asset for east London. It embodies Lee Valley Regional Park Authority’s mission of making the 26-mile-long park a world-class leisure destination for nature, sport and discovery.

"As the most sustainable ice centre in the UK, we’re delighted Lee Valley Ice Centre has been recognised as a Civic Trust Awards Regional Finalist. It’s a hub of the community, where people get together to socialise, be active and learn. It’s also a venue where the environmental enhancements outside have provided new green space for people to enjoy nature in urban east London.”
