Success at the Education Estates Awards
The Moulding Foundation Building, our recently completed project and home to Seashell's Royal School Manchester, has won two high commendations at the Education Estates awards, which celebrate excellence and achievement in the education sector.
The school for students with complex special educational needs (SEN) was highly commended in both the 'School' and 'Inclusive Design' Project of the Year categories.
We were delighted to see our client, Seashell Trust, also pick up the award for 'Client of the Year', recognising the impact of their unique specialist care and education for some of the country’s most profoundly disabled children and young adults.
We have been working with Seashell since 2015 to design and develop an aspirational masterplan for their campus, with specialist facilities including on-site student housing, sports facilities, a new school building and a new college.
Royal School Manchester is the first major building project to be completed and includes teaching space for 60 students, with a range of profound and multiple learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders and multi-sensory impairment, aged 2 to 19 years.
