Carbon approach featured in sb magazine
Our approach to reducing the carbon impact of projects has been featured in the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities' (IAKS) sb magazine.
Partner Mike Hall and senior associate Irina Korneychuk shared their thoughts on how the energy and climate crisis is impacting buildings with typically high operational energy use, such as swimming pools and sports centres.
This feature follows the research we presented at the IAKS Swimming Pool Conference in Asker, Norway this year, analysing almost 100 of our sports and leisure projects over a 6-decade period.
This process has helped us to develop a set of values for embedding carbon reduction into our design process.
