Mixology North finalists
Two of our recent projects have been announced as finalists in the Mixology North awards. Organised by Mix Interiors, the awards celebrate the best in commercial interiors every year. The refurbishment of Newcastle Civic Centre has been shortlisted for public sector project of the year, while Jesmond Assembly (previously Eskdale Terrace) has been shortlisted for project of the year in the living interiors category.
The Civic Centre refurbishment project has preserved and enhanced one of Newcastle's most important heritage assets, and includes refurbishment of council offices and the Rates Hall, as well as a sensitive infill of the ground floor colonnade to create a new public entrance.
Jesmond Assembly is an independent later living community in Jesmond with 63 apartments with sociable communal spaces. Its interiors combine sharp feature metalwork with warm finishes and fabrics, to create a familiar feeling of home in harmony with surrounding Victorian terraces.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in December.
